The Business Development Consultant(BDC) plays a key role in driving business growth for our low-code application development services. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building relationships with clients, and promoting low-code platforms such as OutSystems to help organizations accelerate digital transformation.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and skilled in both sales and relationship management, with an understanding of technology-driven solutions and application development processes.
Requirements
1. Sales and Market Development
Identify, research, and target potential enterprise clients for low-code application development and related services.
Generate new leads through prospecting, cold calls, meetings, and networking activities.
Present and promote low-code solutions to prospective clients, clearly articulating the value proposition and business benefits.
Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies to expand market presence locally and regionally.
Manage the complete sales cycle—from opportunity creation to negotiation and deal closure.
Support business opportunities including Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Invitations to Tender (ITQ).
Collaborate with internal teams, including delivery, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets while maintaining accurate forecasts and reports.
2. Client and Partner Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and technology needs.
Use a consultative sales approach to deliver tailored low-code solutions.
Develop and expand partnerships with ecosystem technology providers, system integrators, and industry partners.
Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring consistent communication and follow-through.
3. Business Insights and Strategy
Stay updated on industry trends, market movements, and emerging technologies in low-code and digital transformation.
Analyze customer and market data to identify new business opportunities.
Provide feedback and insights to management to refine sales strategies and service offerings.
Qualifications
Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in business development, preferably in IT services, software, or digital solutions.
· Proven sales experience, preferably in software or technology.
Familiarity with low-code platforms (such as OutSystems, Mendix, or PowerApps) is an advantage.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Comfortable engaging with clients at multiple levels, from technical teams to senior decision-makers.
