POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the Chef de Partie in meal preparation and ensures efficiency in their designated, Asian section. This role is critical for maintaining consistency and quality in food preparation while adhering to all dietary requirements and hygiene standards.
SUMMARY OF ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Chef de Partie, the responsibilities and essential job functions of the Demi Chef are to include but are not limited to the following:
Demi Chef shall assist in the preparation and cooking of meals. Follow recipes and directions provided by the Chef de Partie to ensure consistent output.
Maintain cleanliness and order in their section: Ensure workstations and equipment are clean and sanitized, adhering to hygiene standards.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness across the kitchen to support a hygienic and safe working environment.
Learn and execute recipes as per dietary requirements: Gain proficiency in preparing meals that align with patient-specific dietary needs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations: Work alongside other kitchen staff to maintain seamless workflows and timely meal delivery.
Monitor stock levels in their section. Report any shortages or inventory needs to the Chef de Partie for replenishment.
Support quality control efforts by ensuring all prepared dishes meet the required standards for taste, presentation, and dietary compliance.
