The IT Engineer will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support and maintaining the stable operation of IT systems for the Singapore Project Office. The role focuses on office-based IT infrastructure, end-user support, and coordination with headquarters and external service providers to ensure efficient and secure IT operations.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide daily IT support for project office staff, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and office IT equipment
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, operating systems, office software, and project-related applications
Manage office network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and basic firewall configurations
Support email systems, file servers, shared drives, and collaboration platforms
Assist in IT asset management, including inventory, labeling, lifecycle tracking, and basic procurement coordination
Coordinate with headquarters IT teams and external vendors on system upgrades, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity matters
Ensure data backup, basic cybersecurity compliance, and user access control in accordance with company policies
Provide on-site support for meetings, video conferences, and presentations when required
Prepare basic IT-related documentation, user guides, and reports
Support IT setup during new staff onboarding and office expansion activities
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant IT support or IT engineering experience, preferably in project offices, engineering companies, or multinational environments
Technical Skills:
Solid knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and common enterprise software
Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi systems, routers, and switches
Basic understanding of network security, firewalls, antivirus systems, and data backup
Experience in IT asset management and end-user technical support
Familiarity with video conferencing systems (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.)
Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
Soft Skills & Others:
Good communication skills and service-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and respond promptly to IT issues
Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality, and data security awareness
Ability to communicate in English; Mandarin is an advantage due to coordination with headquarters
Willing to work full-time in the project office environment
