Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor to take on a factory-wide operations leadership role. This position goes beyond production supervision and requires end-to-end operational ownership of the facility. The successful candidate must be capable of running the entire factory independently when the Factory Manager is not onsite.

This role operates on a 12-hour day shift (8:00am – 8:00pm, Monday to Friday), with occasional weekend and night shift support when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume full operational responsibility for the factory in the absence of the Factory Manager.

• Lead, guide, and manage Production Supervisors and Line Leaders, ensuring effective people management, performance, and team engagement across all shifts.

• Plan and manage 12-hour rotating shift schedules, including weekend and public holiday coverage, to meet operational requirements.

• Ensure robust training and coaching programs are implemented for Operators and Line Leaders, supporting skills development and operational readiness.

• Drive the factory to consistently achieve daily output, efficiency, and productivity targets.

• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, product quality, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.

• Enforce strict adherence to work procedures, equipment handling protocols, and quality standards across all production lines.

• Ensure full compliance with Safety, GMP, and Quality requirements at all times across the facility.

• Oversee housekeeping and 5S standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.

• Coordinate waste management and recycling activities, including pallets and paper bags.

• Oversee and audit product sample collection processes in accordance with quality and laboratory requirements.

• Ensure all production data and records are accurately completed, verified, and submitted on time in Navision.

• Maintain strong working knowledge of batching, dumping, and packing machinery, and ensure the supervisory team is similarly equipped.

• Plan and oversee maintenance activities, including basic maintenance and minor repairs carried out by Line Leaders, to minimize downtime.

• Manage and resolve technical issues and equipment abnormalities, supporting first-level troubleshooting and escalating only when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or factory operations within a similar environment.

• Proven experience managing large teams of approximately 25 operators, including warehouse staff and external vendors (e.g. forklift drivers, cleaners, contractors).

• Demonstrated ability to run factory operations end-to-end, beyond production alone (safety, GMP, 5S, vendor coordination, shift coverage, reporting, and maintenance coordination).

• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (8am–8pm) and open to occasional weekend or night shift support.

• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
