JOB SUMMARY
The Manager/Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Senior Care Centre at Canberra, ensuring that high-quality care is provided to the clients in the programme. The Manager/Assistant Manager will work closely with the Reporting Officer to ensure that the center's policies and procedures are followed and that the center meets all relevant regulations. Additionally, the Manager/Assistant Manager will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the center's staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide the best possible care to our clients.
JOB SCOPE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration
Responsible to management in all matters pertaining to administration, operations and control of the center
Assist management in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the center meets all relevant regulatory requirements
Assist in preparing annual budget for the center
Service Development & Sustainability
Assist in programme planning and services review of the programmes. Together with management, may be involved with strategic planning for development of the center based on the needs of the clients (e.g. rehabilitation initiatives, active ageing models, dementia care, etc.)
Networking
Participate in outreach to referral agencies, community organizations and hospitals for client referrals to the center
Operations/Professional Matters
Supervise a multidisciplinary professional team including social workers, therapists, clinical support staff and administrative staff, and work with various government as well as community-based organizations to offer services to adult and elderly with disabilities
Assist management by leading the professional team in developing the service models, setting service guidelines/standards and monitoring service delivery of programmes
Track the achievement of key performance indicators by providing progress reports and data analysis for planning and reporting purposes
Provide leadership and guidance to the staff, including setting performance targets and providing regular feedback and coaching
Assist in submission of indicators to all relevant funding agencies such as MOH, MSF, NCSS and SG Enable etc. Coordinate the claims for submission to funding agencies
Other Duties
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree in any discipline related to business or health administration from a good University
At least three years of experience in a senior care centre or a related field
Excellent management and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
A preferred understanding and knowledge of the sector and dynamics
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
A commitment to service excellence and the highest standards of professionalism
A strong sense of empathy and compassion for seniors and their families
