Technical Purchaser - #1130033

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Technical Purchaser to help scale our operations.  This is an integral role with opportunity to work in a high-tech engineering environment supporting global customers.

Scope of responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders for technical components, materials, and non-project requirements

• Work with suppliers to track order status to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

• Support engineers by sourcing products and proposing alternatives

• Maintain accurate and timely procurement data in the ERP system

• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and controls

• Support supply chain initiatives, such as multi-sourcing, supplier evaluations, and cost optimisation

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline with engineering knowledge

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or production planning

• Able to grasp technical concepts and specifications of technical components, materials and manufacturing processes

• Experience in industrial equipment or high-mix low-volume manufacturing environment is a plus

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
