Product Design Engineer (Safety) | Boon Lay | $4000 - $4500 #9398 - #1129826

Contract: 1 year (renewable/ convertible)

Location: Boon Lay

Salary: $4000 to $4500

Working days: Monday to Friday

Job Descriptions:

• Conduct hazard identification and analysis to evaluate potential risks during system design and testing phases

• Monitor and track the implementation of hazard control measures across design, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards

• Assist in enhancing and standardizing tools, templates, and methodologies used in system safety engineering

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, test, and engineering groups, to support system-level safety reviews

• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety processes through structured analysis and feedback

• Support the execution and documentation of system safety activities for explosive systems.

• Prepare and maintain key safety documents, including:

1. System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP)

2. Trial Safety Assessment Report (TSAR)

3. Preliminary Hazard List (PHL)

4. Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)

5. System Hazard Analysis (SHA)

6. Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA)

7. Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

8. Identification of Safety Critical Items / Characteristics (SCI / SCC)

9. Safety Requirement & Verification Checklist (SRV)

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Software, or related Engineering fields

• Prefer minimum 1 year experience with strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills

• Candidate without experience may apply as training will be provided

• Willing to learn and develop expertise in System Safety, Functional Safety, Design Safety, Reliability Engineering

• Familiarity with design development processes (advantage)
