To support and promote children’s well-being through leading the Tinkle Friend Services, which include the helpline and chatline, developing resources to support children’s well-being through various channels. To lead the development of evidence-informed programme for children, educators/parents in the promotion of bully-free. Conduct rigorous assessment and provide basic psychosocial, behavioural interventions to children in need. The purpose is to ensure that child’s mental well-being is supported so that they can grow up strong and healthy.
To provide supervision to the Tinkle Friend team and provide support to ensure child’s safety.
To develop, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and review services to address of bullying.
To conduct analysis of the Tinkle Friend service to enhance the services and provide recommendations on initiatives that would support children’s wellbeing.
Provide mental health check-ins to children and facilitate warm referrals
Maintain up to date case documentation
Provide supervision and oversight of all high-risk cases
To work collaboratively with child’s support networks-parents, educators and community partners to address the needs
To support children in-risk identified on our helpline/chatline services
Conduct risk assessment, safety planning and implement safety plans as appropriate.
Liaise with agencies and make service referrals
Advocate for children’s best interest
Work closely with Research Department to develop/refine evaluation tools for programme
To support HOD in agency-level work
Requirements:
Degree in social work/counselling/psychology or in related discipline or Post graduate diploma in social work.
At least 5 years of experience working with children (6-13 years old), parents in counselling, casework, programme development and group work.
At least 3 years of supervisory experience
Supervisory experience
Strong group work facilitation skills
Strong ethical reasoning
Programme development
Case work and counselling skills
Good written and oral communication
Trained in CARG
Trauma-informed
Able to provide psychological first aid
Possess knowledge of the social service and school landscape/resources
Ability to conduct basic research and evaluation
Able to conduct environmental scans and assess community needs
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
Strong engagement skills with various stakeholders.
Able to work independently and in a team
Experienced in creative engagements for social service programmes in both virtual and face-to-face formats
High levels of initiative
Other Requirements:
Keen interest to work with children and the other systems in the child’s life (e.g. parents, educators, case workers, etc)
An insightful and reflective team player
High levels of initiative, adaptability and responsibility.
Proficient in Microsoft, Canva or other design softwares
Strong administrative skills
High levels of initiative, adaptability and willingness to grow professionally with the organization
