Warehouse Safety Officer Responsibilities

Choice of Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM or 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM
Workdays: 6 days per week
Location: Fishery Port, Boon Lay

1. Safety Patrols and Inspections
   Conduct daily safety patrols to promptly identify and rectify potential hazards. Ensure all warehouse operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.

2. Safety Training and Education
   Organize or assist in safety training for warehouse employees to enhance safety awareness and operational skills. Ensure all team members understand and follow safety rules and regulations.

3. Emergency Response Plan Management
   Develop, improve, and implement emergency response plans for incidents such as fires or accidents. Conduct regular drills to strengthen emergency response capabilities.

4. Fire Safety Equipment Management
   Inspect and maintain all fire safety equipment (e.g. fire extinguishers, hoses, hydrants) to ensure optimal functionality. Be familiar with their operational use.

5. Hazardous Materials Management
   Oversee the safe storage, handling, and use of hazardous materials in compliance with relevant safety regulations to prevent accidents.

6. Accident Investigation and Handling
   Participate in investigating warehouse accidents, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and assist in managing post-incident procedures.

7. Safety Records and Reporting
   Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily inspections, training sessions, and incident reports. Submit periodic safety reports to management.

8. Safety Equipment Management
   Manage procurement, distribution, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety helmets and gloves.

9. Supervision and Corrective Actions
   Supervise all warehouse operations to ensure safe practices. Address and correct any safety violations promptly and follow up on corrective measures.

10. Visitor Management
    Register and guide visitors within the warehouse premises. Safeguard company assets and ensure personnel and property remain secure.

11. Other Duties
    Perform other safety-related tasks assigned by superiors.
