Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical enclosures and containment structures for equipment or modules
- Produce detailed drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing
- Conduct basic structural assessments, fit checks, tolerance analysis and design verification
- Work with suppliers to evaluate fabrication feasibility, material options and finishes
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support prototype builds and validation
- Review and improve designs based on feedback from testing, manufacturing, and users
- Ensure compliance with safety, IP, durability and protection standards
- Experience in enclosure, casing, chassis, or containment design
- Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or similar)
- Good understanding of sheet metal, plastics, sealing, fastening, and assembly processes
