Field Service Engineer
Location: Singapore
Position Type: Full Time, regular
Report to: Senior Service Engineer
Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible the Field Service activities for projects within SEA region across all KB products. The role requires strong technical expertise in electromechanical and pneumatic systems. Additional knowledge in electrical and electronics will be an added advantage. The engineer will work closely with project teams to address all technical and quality related issues during the defect liability and warranty period.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for warranty, retrofit and modernisation projects within SEA region.
Have good problem resolution and trouble-shooting know-how to conduct investigation and resolve issues independently.
Able to precisely document all technical issues to be able to discuss the issues with the project team and CoC.
Provide detailed Service Reports to Project Team/Service Centre/Business Development/CoC.
Build a network of contacts, both internal KB and external to help resolve issues swiftly, make full use of on-line training and resources.
Maintain a project Issues lists for detailing all issues/failures including customer NCR, action taken and repair turnaround time.
Manage consignment spares, keeping records of use and maintaining stock availability.
Provide remote support by telephone/ messaging.
Arrange retrofit programs with customers, manage and monitor all retrofit works including logistics, installation and testing.
Provide training and demonstrations, both classroom and practical on-site.
Provide monthly reports and timesheets as required.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical/electronics or equivalent
Preferably with 2 to 3 years’ practical engineering experience and knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, braking, HVAC or PSD systems.
Keen interest in problem solving and trouble-shooting
Team player; good communication skills and customer oriented
Ability to travel with short notice if needed
Must be able to perform night work (11pm to 5am) when required
Fluent in English
Fresh graduates will be considered
