As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Various openings), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring specimens are prioritised, assessed, and processed appropriately.

• Optimise workflow to meet departmental performance targets.

• Supervise staff performing tests and releasing results.

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

• Report, investigate, and support corrective actions for all lab incidents.

• Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting issues.

• Maintain strong proficiency in laboratory information systems and related software.

• Oversee calibration, quality control, validation, and external quality assurance activities.

• Train, assess, and supervise laboratory technologists and other relevant personnel.

• Handle documentation, general lab duties, issue escalation, and additional assignments from lab management.

Requirements:

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent

• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory (Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Haematology / Blood Transfusion) with leadership or supervisory experience

• ASCPi certificate is advantageous
