Assembly Mechanical Engineer (18-month contract) - #1127073

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update BOM, routing, and master data to ensure accuracy.

• Document and track project progress, managing both technical and administrative records.

• Translate engineering drawings from German to English and upload to local systems.

• Collaborate with assembly process engineers to create SOPs and required documentation.

• Convert customer requirements into practical design specifications and detailed designs.

• Develop conceptual and final design drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions for prototyping and production.

• Review and update engineering data packs and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

• Conduct tolerance analyses and GD&T stack-up analyses to ensure manufacturability.

• Prepare documentation for design, product safety (DFMEA), and regulatory compliance.

• Ensure compliance with EHS and quality standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485, AS9100D).

• Provide technical guidance to process, production, supply chain, and quality teams.

• Supply technical information to support sales, marketing, and customer communications.

• Provide administrative support to the R&D team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering .

• Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD and document control practices.

• Experience in BOM, routing, and master data management for product development projects.

• Experience developing conceptual designs, generating detailed drawings, and preparing BOMs for prototypes.
