The role involves performing and overseeing laboratory operations, including specimen handling, analysis, and quality control. The employee is responsible for:

• Receiving, preparing, and packing specimens for analysis.

• Conducting specimen analysis, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory analyzers.

• Validating results and ensuring adherence to quality standards (QC, EQA, Westgard rules).

• Troubleshooting basic issues and escalating complex problems when necessary.

• Assisting with telephone reception duties.

• Supporting the supervision and guidance of junior staff.

• Revising or writing new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Complying with departmental SOPs and safety protocols.

Job Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.

• Ability to work on a 3-shift rotation (morning, afternoon, and night).
