Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager, based in Singapore, to lead a team of Applications Engineers, Operations Executives and Supply Chain Executives and play a key role in driving both technical excellence and operational effectiveness. This role combines engineering leadership, customer-facing technical expertise, and oversight of selected operational functions to support the business holistically.

You will guide the Applications Engineering team in designing high-quality, cost-effective intralogistics solutions, collaborate closely with sales, and ensure strong end-to-end support from presales to delivery. In addition, this role oversees aftersales analysis for key accounts and manages the operations functions of shipping, ordering, procurement, and IT through two direct subordinates.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Applications Engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer focus.

• Provide technical coaching and support, ensuring the team continuously strengthens its competencies.

Engineering & Project Excellence

• Oversee the conceptual engineering process, including solution layouts, design proposals, and technical project concepts.

• Review and approve detailed mechanical designs, layout drawings, and Bill of Materials (BoM).

• Design both standard and non-standard mechanical solutions for intralogistics applications.

• Provide technical support to production and project teams during assembly and onsite installation.

• Track and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.

Commercial & Customer Collaboration

• Partner closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during presales and project discussions.

• Ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into tailored, competitive proposals.

• Managed RMA process for Key Accounts, identifying issues/opportunities and supporting customer retention and upselling.

Operational Management

• Provide overall leadership for key operational functions, including Shipping & Ordering, Procurement, and IT coordination.

• Supervise the Shipping & Supply Chain Executive, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, shipment coordination, and alignment with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

• Lead the Operations Executive, who manages procurement activities and supports basic IT-related coordination for the office and team.

• Strengthen and streamline operational workflows across these areas to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service reliability.

• Drive a continuous-improvement mindset within the operations function to enhance responsiveness and support business growth.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and confidently.

• Proven leadership ability with experience managing small technical teams.

• Customer-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Highly organized, structured, and able to manage multiple responsibilities across engineering and operations.
