We are seeking a technically competent and self-driven Vision Engineer with a proven track record in industrial vision or automation systems. The ideal candidate is both an independent contributor and a strong team player, capable of combining solid design expertise with sharp troubleshooting skills to develop and implement advanced machine vision solutions for semiconductor and automated manufacturing applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize computer vision systems for defect detection, feature recognition, and automation in semiconductor and precision manufacturing environments.
Evaluate customer samples to analyse image characteristics and define appropriate machine vision hardware (optics, cameras, lenses, lighting) and software requirements.
Design and develop custom machine vision solutions using programming or configuration-based tools, leveraging image processing libraries and frameworks.
Develop PC-based vision software applications, including vision logic, user interfaces (UI), and system architecture, ensuring high reliability and performance.
Implement and optimize deep learning-based vision models for high-speed, high-accuracy inspection processes.
Conduct system installation, programming, calibration, and fine-tuning of vision inspection systems both in-house and at customer sites.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate vision systems with automation, robotics, and control systems.
Maintain documentation for system design, test procedures, and compliance requirements and provide training to others.
Support production and maintenance teams in troubleshooting and improving existing vision systems.
Requirements
Diploma or bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in computer vision, image processing, or machine learning, utilizing libraries/frameworks such as Halcon, Cognex VisionPro, Matrox, Keyence, OpenCV, Omron, Vision Master.
Proficiency in C# and C++ for vision and automation applications.
Strong understanding of vision hardware components — including optics, lenses, and lighting.
Familiarity with machine vision, industrial automation, and PLC integration is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of deep learning architectures is advantage (e.g., CNNs, GANs, Transformers) for visual recognition is preferred.
Experience with real-time processing, embedded systems, or hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., CUDA, FPGA) is a plus.
Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
