This role provides leadership in consultation with Head of Nursing to develop implement aligned operational tactical and strategic plans.
Lead new quality services initiatives with the nursing team, other interdisciplinary heads of departments, doctors, clients, families and external professionals to ensure effective and optimal clinical care services are in place.
Develop and realise Allium’s uniquely new personalised-care model for elderly. Put in place the “Green House” model that will entice larger customer base to Allium Care Suites, by recognising their needs and demands in the current landscape.
As a catalyst to carry out a collaborative effort that bridges the gap between clinical nurse managers, educators and higher management operational team to support the mission of Allium Healthcare team, including the developmental plans beyond current development.
Strategic Leadership
· Support organisational development projects and initiatives
· Communicate and Cascade effectively the company vision, mission & values to nursing team.
· To assist Head of Nursing to chart an ‘’Allium Experience’’ that is better than their home environment, to provide the best comfort for residents and allow residents to age with meaning.
· Foster nurses’ learning & development culture to build successors in the elderly care industry.
· Inspire next gen to join the community care sector in the near future.
· Monitor KPIs and ensure effective utilisation of budget and resources
Essential Indirect Nursing Care Function
· Formulation of general Policies, Standard Operation Procedures, Guidelines, Clinical Governance & Regulation (Nursing & Emergency Preparedness)
· Develop and review nursing and infection control clinical procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
· Develop audit framework and maintain audit surveillance of clinical standards and KPIs
· Perform regular audit and surveillance of Allium Care Suites and Care Studio to ensure compliance standards
· Assist in achieving and sustaining all the MOH licensing requirements for Allium Care Suites
· Plan, develop, assist to implement clinical quality improvement initiative and projects
Support Capability Development Initiatives
· Provide leadership in the recruitment, selection, development and retention of nurses in partnership with the nursing team, and P&C Department.
· Assist Head of Nursing/ partner Nurse Educator to develop nursing capabilities and role expansion.
· Assist Head of Nursing to set goals and objectives in consultation with the clinical team.
· To harness staff to undertake different responsibilities and roles to maximise potential
· Facilitate as liaison personnel with external parties / educational institution to collaborate and work with Nurse Educator to expand nursing training/ project initiatives
· Collaborate with Nurse Educator, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, doctors, and Quality Improvement Manager to identify learning gaps and training needs.
· Support the nursing team to conduct orientation programmes and induction programmes for newly recruited nurses, care staff, and other external healthcare professionals/ non-healthcare professional attachments.
Primary Daily Activities
· Conduct daily/ regular client rounds to promote and maintain close client relationships.
· Assess competency mix across organization.
· Conduct performance evaluation of care staff.
· Ensure competency measurement is implemented.
· Ensure that the clinical systems, policies and procedures are aligned to company’s vision and mission and guiding nursing practice.
· Act as mentor, coach & counsellor to Nurses.
· Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care, including documentation, and make appropriate changes in nursing care delivery and overall organization of the unit/s.
· Ensure there is robust Workplace Safety & Health culture within the team. Initiate and drive the CultureSAFE project for Allium Healthcare Care Suites and Care Studios.
· Perform other assigned duties to support the businesses.
· Serve as a resource person to clinical and non-clinical staff.
· Analyse and update changes in aged care trend in the community, government departments, and inter-organisational relations.
· Periodically evaluate and review all nursing/ clinical procedures, protocols and practice guidelines regularly.
· Evaluate clinical, nursing and care staff work performance and discuss their strengths and weaknesses for improvement.
· Ensure skill competencies, Nursing Standards, Enhanced Nursing Home Standards, Guidelines for Home Care and Guidelines for Centre-Based Care are communicated to all stakeholders, all levels of staff, in compliance and are carried out/ maintained.
· Assist to educate and demonstrate the appropriate utilisation and application of medical/ non-medical equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
· Conduct regular audits on clinical skills and customer service.
· Facilitate regular discussions with the clinical staff to review and update on all clinical quality improvement projects in nursing/clinical / aged care services.
System And Equipment
· Complete statistic/information as required.
· Use appropriate IT system for documentation stipulated by the organisation
· Monitor the use of training equipment to ensure appropriate use of resource and report gaps or shortages.
Collect data required to meet audit and performance management targets in a timely manner.
Technical Skills and Competencies
· Good knowledge of ILTC landscape is desirable.
· Understand the practices that promote self-care management, behaviour change and personalised care.
· Sound knowledge of local health care priorities.
· Have a genuine interests in bringing new care model to the older adults
· Ability to learn new skills and develop aged care effectiveness of self and team.

all Staff perform proper hand hygiene technique and also wash their hands frequently with soap and water, use of appropriate personal protective clothing (if required) and appropriate administration of antibiotic therapy.
