Job Summary
The Head of Project Operations is responsible for leading the strategic execution and delivery of warehouse automation and supply chain technology projects. This role oversees the full project lifecycle — from design and planning to implementation and commissioning — ensuring operational excellence, seamless integration, and client satisfaction across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end automation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and client objectives.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with engineering, software, procurement, and field operations teams to ensure efficient system integration and project delivery.
• Process Optimization: Develop and standardize project management frameworks to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality across deployments.
• Client Engagement: Act as the senior point of contact for project stakeholders, managing communications, expectations, and escalations.
• Resource Management: Oversee manpower allocation, subcontractor performance, and logistics across multiple active projects.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure that all project activities adhere to safety, regulatory, and operational compliance standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, uptime, and commissioning success to evaluate project outcomes.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead post-project reviews and implement lessons learned to enhance future delivery standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals to achieve high standards of project performance and operational excellence.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project operations or industrial automation, including at least 5 years in warehouse automation or large-scale systems implementation.
• Proven experience managing multi-site automation or technology deployment projects.
• Strong technical understanding of robotics, PLCs, warehouse management systems (WMS/WCS), and material handling technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required for project oversight.
