Chinese Development Assistance Council

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the social service sector, target audiences and the operating environment to ensure that content and publicity across all channels are well-aligned and support the organisation’s goals

  • Have a good understanding of local media and the social media landscape

  • Identify and leverage media/press opportunities for story-pitching and creating awareness of CDAC’s programmes

  • Review and implement social media strategies and best practices in the industry

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive media and stakeholder database and monitor media coverage and sentiment to inform communication strategies.

  • Manage social media platforms and CDAC’s website to engage stakeholders, ensure accuracy and timeliness of content, and promote traffic on these platforms

  • Plan and craft media invites, media releases, and manage media requests and queries.

  • Craft messages and speeches for CDAC publications and key events.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to create and develop content and insights

  • Support cross-departmental collaboration by facilitating and documenting knowledge sharing, discussing communication challenges, and suggesting improvements.

              Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar internal communications role, preferably, but not a must, in the non-profit or social services sector.

  • Excellent written and verbal English and Chinese communication skills, with strong writing, editing, and content creation abilities.

  • Able to work independently and in a team, with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to manage projects independently, work collaboratively, and maintain attention to detail in all communications.

  • Proficiency with internet tools and digital communication systems.
