We’re looking to add an Engineering Assistant, Production (12 Months Contract) in Singapore. The position is based in our GES Site in Marsiling.

As a Engineering Assistant, Production (12 Months Contract), you will:

Provide engineering and technical support to production in troubleshooting of product failures, assembly tools/fixtures, test equipment, carry out  Preventive Maintenance & Calibration, updating and maintaining of Manufacturing Execution System and other assigned tasks in supporting the Production.

The key responsibilities are as below: 

To Perform the following sustaining engineering activities related to manufacturing of assigned platforms:

• Perform 1st level troubleshooting of Production Line issues related to product assembly, testing and tools/equipment.

• Support debug and repair activities of customer returned products

• Provide training to Production Line Leaders/Operators on assembly and test Processes

• Keep shop floor MES (DGS) up-to-date by resolving day-to-day issues or changes arising from Engineering Changes.

• Provide Engineering support in updating of Manufacturing Instruction (MI) and Test Instruction (TI) whenever changes are implemented

• Provide Engineering support to Product Engineers to make changes to production processes, such as TMPCN, to contain/resolve any Non-Conformance (NC) on shipped units or to improve cycle time (cost reduction)

• Manage Preventive Maintenance (ePM) of production line tools, jigs & fixtures and Testers in GAMS and maintain up-to-date documentation including any qualification records of changes done to Jigs/Fixtures/Testers.

 What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Polytechnic Diploma or Higher NITEC in Mechatronics or Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role supporting manufacturing of electro-mechanical products, preferably in manufacturing of Life Science Instruments.

• Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly process

• Knowledge of Equipment troubleshooting (HW & SW)

• Possess logical thinking with systematic approach in problem solving

• 5S and Lean Manufacturing exposure

• MS Office Skills
