Role Purpose
The Accounts Assistant supports the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role will be assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, preparing reports, and supporting audits and month-end closings.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare and check invoices, receipts, and payments & refunds
Record daily transactions in the accounting system
Handle supplier payments and staff claims
Follow up on customer payments
Do simple bank and account reconciliations
Keep proper filing of financial documents
Help with month-end closing and reports
Support other admin or finance tasks when needed
Requirements
· Some experience in accounting or admin work (fresh grads welcome)
· Basic knowledge of Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB)
· Careful, responsible, and good with numbers
· Able to work well with others and meet deadlines
