Oracle Data Engineer (Contract)

Overview
Our client is seeking experienced Data Engineers to join their team in delivering enterprise-level data solutions and reporting capabilities. The successful candidates will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing Oracle database stored procedures, building interactive dashboards, and enabling data-driven decision-making through robust data pipelines and analysis.

Our client is hiring for two positions:

• 1 x Senior Role (12-month renewable contract) – minimum 3 years of Oracle DB stored procedure experience required.
• 1 x Junior Role (12-month renewable contract) – minimum 1 year of Oracle DB stored procedure experience required.
  
  

Both roles are open to Singapore Citizens only due to client clearance requirements.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle database stored procedures to support data processing, business intelligence, and reporting needs.
• Design, build, and manage interactive dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense or Tableau.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by performing validation, transformation, and cleansing activities.
• Automate repetitive data and reporting tasks to improve operational efficiency.
• Document data pipelines, processes, and dashboards for knowledge sharing and sustainability.
• Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting support to business units as required.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop scalable solutions.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Oracle DB stored procedures (Senior: ≥3 years; Junior: ≥1 year).
• Solid knowledge of Oracle DB query scripting.
• Hands-on experience in dashboard reporting (Qlik Sense preferred; Tableau acceptable).
• Strong analytical skills and good acumen in data analysis.
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills (Optional)

• Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools supporting the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with SAS (Statistical Analysis System).
• Practical working knowledge of Python scripting for ETL pipelines.
  
  

Contract Details

• Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable.
• Base Monthly Salary: Up to SGD 8,000 (before CPF contributions).
• Completion Bonus: One month’s salary for every 12 months of completed service.
• Transport Allowance: Fixed SGD 300 per month, CPF-contributable, no claims required.
• Annual Leave: 18 days per year, earned leave basis (no carry forward, no encashment).
• Eligibility: Singapore Citizens only (converted citizens subject to clearance).
• Onboarding: Only upon successful completion of client security clearance.
