Purpose of Position
This role contributes to research-based activities in the field of Cybersecurity at Curtin Singapore.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Leadership & Service
• Contribute to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment.
• Foster and promote relationships with industry and affiliated associations, and the wider community.
Research
In conjunction with the Head of School of Science, Technology, and Engineering, agree on a
program of research that may include but is not limited to:
• Undertaking high-quality research in cybersecurity.
• Work closely with industry partners on key projects as agreed with the Head of School of Science, Technology, and Engineering.
• Participating in applications for competitive funding as appropriate.
• Disseminating research findings through seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Publishing in high-quality refereed journals in a manner consistent with disciplinary practice.
• Where appropriate, providing effective co-supervision of research students.
Other
• Engage in appropriate professional development and mentoring programs.
• Undertake administrative functions associated with research activities as required.
• Model a high standard of professional behaviour consistent with the University Code of Conduct and its Vision, Mission and Values.
• Undertake other activities as directed by the Head of School of Science, Technology, and Engineering and/or the PVC and President.
Compliance and Legislative Requirements
• Staff will be appointed under the Curtin Singapore Curtin Education Centre contract.
Selection Criteria
Applicants are not required to address each element of the selection criteria but should provide sufficient information in their application to enable the selection panel to make an informed assessment of their suitability for the role.

Essential
1. A doctoral qualification in Cybersecurity.
2. Evidence of quality research outputs consistent with the discipline (relative to opportunity).
3. Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
Desirable
1. Demonstrated ability to supervise HDR students (relative to opportunity).
