Job Purpose:
We are looking for a proactive and dynamic Events Coordinator to plan, organize, and execute cohesion events primarily for Active and Reservist NS Units, as well as other organizations. The role involves liaising with NS units to engage SAFRA Cohesion Services, facilitating team-building sessions, and managing all aspects of event operations—from conceptualization to post-event follow-up.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including vendors and programme partners, and a keen eye for detail to ensure smooth event delivery. This role also involves researching and developing new programmes to continually enhance our event offerings. Flexibility and a collaborative mindset are key to succeeding in this position.
This position will be a 1-year Temporary contract, and will be largely based at SAFRA Jurong.
Main / Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with new/existing NS units to engage SAFRA Cohesion Services for their cohesion events.
Coordinate, facilitate and lead team building sessions.
Oversee and execute event operations (including setup, teardown, rehearsals etc.)
Required Duties / Tasks:
Conceptualize, plan and organize cohesion events such as family day, team bonding activities and special events targeted at Active / Reservist NS Units and also other organizations.
Drafting event proposals, working with internal and external units/vendors to coordinate event requirements.
Manage and liaise with vendors / programme partners for event requirements.
Ensure delivery of quality event management service for all events from conceptualization through to implementation and post event follow up.
To ensure all administrative requirements are met within the required time frame.
Conduct programme research, design, plan and/or source for new programmes/initiatives to enhance the existing programme packages.
To perform any other tasks assigned by supervisor and above.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Diploma and in sports/events management or projects related field preferred.
Team player and able to multi-task well under pressure.
Possess excellent service mindset and with positive work attitude.
Independent and self-motivated with good interpersonal and social skills.
Strong communication & presentation skills preferred.
Able to work on Public Holidays and weekends if required.
Proficient in MS Office and basic computer applications.
