Transport Operations Manager (Waste Management) - #1118876

Job Info:

• Basic salary up to $6,200

• Entitled to AWS, variable bonus, quarterly incentives, and performance bonuses

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

• Location: Tuas area – company transport provided (transport allowance available if using own transport)

• Our client is a waste management company

• This role mainly involves managing operations, including driver, route, and capacity planning, as well as transport scheduling

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure contractors comply with waste collection standards (PPE, documentation, and schedules) and follow up on progress.

• Handle customer enquiries and coordinate with Sales and Customer Service on complaints or service issues.

• Ensure compliance with NEA, LTA, and other regulatory requirements.

• Develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate contractor and supplier performance.

• Attend coordination meetings with EHS, Operations, and Sales teams.

• Support logistics executive in transport scheduling and administrative tasks.

• Plan transport capacity and resources (trucks, pumps, hoses) to ensure smooth operations.

• Oversee maintenance programs for logistics equipment, managing internal and outsourced servicing.

• Handle submissions for transport containment approvals (e.g., ISO tanks, post-office waste).

• Verify supplier/contractor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and consolidate monthly cost reports.

• Ensure timely renewal of vehicle parking certificates and compliance with LTA rules.

• Supervise logistics staff, including hiring, performance appraisal, and training.

• Report monthly to the Logistics Director on cost savings, operational issues, and improvement measures.

• Maintain accurate logistics records, cost tracking, and budget reports.

Requirements:

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with a minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.

• Strong planning, operational problem-solving, and safety knowledge.

• Able to manage cross-functional teams and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
