Company Overview:
We are a leading meat importer and distributor serving a wide network of hotels, airlines, and supermarkets in Singapore. Our operations also include a manufacturing line for value-added meat products. As we expand, we are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our growing team.

Job Description:
As a Purchaser, you will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement of meat products and raw materials for both our distribution and manufacturing operations. You will work closely with global suppliers, inventory colleagues, and the production team to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase chilled and frozen meat products from international suppliers. Including Fresh Beef, Lamb, Pork and Charcuterie

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.

• Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain appropriate stock levels.

• Forecast purchasing needs based on sales projections, seasonality, and ordering/shipping lead times.

• Procure raw materials required for our in-house manufacturing line.

• Monitor shipment schedules and follow up on logistics to ensure timely arrivals.

• Maintain and update purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies and import regulations.

• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and suggest improvements or alternatives when necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields.

• At least 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in food or FMCG industries.

• Experience working with international suppliers and freight logistics is an advantage.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory/purchasing systems (e.g., Navision).
