Data Analyst (Supplier Operations) - 2 Years Contract - #1117761

Responsible for overseeing a range of operational and strategic supplier-related tasks. This role requires strong data analytics, problem solving, and project management capabilities to support stakeholder engagement, compliance governance, data tracking, and supplier communications.

Job Details:

• Contract: 1 + 1 year contract (with 1 month completion bonus for every year of completed service)

• Working location: West (Joo Koon)

• Working hours: 8.30am to 6 pm (Mon to Fri).

• Hybrid working arrangements: 2 days WFH

Job Scope:

1. Manage and analyze complex datasets efficiently to identify root causes of issues and propose corrective or preventive measures as part of continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Ensure accurate and timely billing and tracking of allowances and incentives. Monitor supplier progress on incentives and work closely with the buying team to meet targets.

3. Create and automate scorecards and dashboards. Leverage digital tools to streamline reporting processes and drive action plans to improve vendor performance with the category management team.

4. Oversee user testing, gather requirements, and liaise with the data team to provision dashboard access.

5. Create, support, and monitor margin analysis, business metrics tracking, cost analysis, and reporting. Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from the buying team.

6. Support procurement teams with contract management, ensuring adherence to the contract approval matrix and follow-up on outstanding items.

7. Manage and support ongoing project timelines, deliverables, supplier communications, and proper documentation of actions.

8. Support Code of Conduct declarations and track compliance-related activities.

Job Requirement:

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in any industry, preferably in Finance, Commercial, Analytics, or related functions.

Technical Skills:

• Microsoft Excel: Proficient in advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, PivotTables) for managing and analyzing complex datasets.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking with hands-on experience in SQL or similar tools to extract insights independently. Familiarity with data platforms (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery) and dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics) is a plus.

• Systematic & Logical Thinking: Ability to quickly understand business problems, connect the dots, and translate them into well-organized, executable tasks.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Able to engage and manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, including leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively across teams.
