Responsibilities
* Ensure optimal reliability and functionality of all plant electrical equipment.
* Review and plan replacement schedules for aging or critical electrical equipment.
* Conduct root cause analysis for complex equipment failures and generate detailed exception reports.
* Recommend and implement equipment modifications to improve performance or reliability.
* Lead and schedule electrical-related equipment tasks under the Site Daily Maintenance (SDM) program.
* Respond promptly to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
* Optimize energy usage across the plant to improve energy efficiency.
* Review, update, and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to electrical systems.
* Ensure the plant complies with all electrical safety standards, regulations, and operational requirements.
* Oversee and coordinate the annual preventive maintenance (PM) shutdown for the substation.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise.
* Maintain and manage electrical inventory records.
* Prepare and review risk assessments, providing input to enhance operational safety.
* Evaluate maintenance strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings.
* Supervise contractors, ensuring work quality and compliance with specifications.
* Review and negotiate contractor proposals to ensure value for money.
* Analyze contractor reports and provide feedback or actions where necessary.
* Oversee project budgets, costs, and milestone progress.
* Manage raw material (RM) cost related to electrical projects.
* Ensure all assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
* Review vendor contracts and assess contractor performance.
* Conduct service performance audits for vendors and contractors.
* Liaise with the technical team on process improvements and equipment-related issues.
Requirements
* Education: Degree in Automation & Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Licensing: Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) preferred.
* Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate level).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
* Confident in presenting technical information clearly to coworkers and management.
* Hands-on experience with digital control systems and PLC troubleshooting.
* Knowledge in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) is an advantage.
* Ability to perform hands-on technical tasks independently.
* A self-motivated individual with minimal need for supervision.
* Collaborative team player with the ability to work across departments.
* Positive work attitude and eagerness to learn.
* Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
* Innovative and curious, with a willingness to explore new technologies.
* Strong safety awareness and mindset.
