About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and driven Health & Safety Executive to join our growing team.
As a Health & Safety Executive, you will play a vital role in supporting the organisation’s workplace safety and health initiatives. Your responsibilities will include assisting in risk assessments, implementing safety policies, monitoring compliance with WSH regulations, coordinating safety training, and promoting health and safety awareness across all levels of staff.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating a safe and healthy workplace. You will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth implementation of safety measures and contribute to initiatives that enhance employee wellbeing and organisational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the HR team, you will support the full range of Health & Safety functions. The following is a list of responsibilities that may be assigned, based on business needs and individual development. You will not be required to handle all responsibilities simultaneously.
Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
Develop, review, and implement WSH policies, procedures, and safe work practices in compliance with statutory requirements.
Coordinate and deliver safety-related training and awareness programmes to ensure employees are competent in safety practices.
Monitor, investigate, and report workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring prompt corrective and preventive actions are taken.
Maintain accurate safety records, permits, and documentation to demonstrate compliance with statutory obligations.
Collaborate with relevant business units to address safety concerns, identify hazards, and support initiatives to improve workplace health and safety.
Oversee facilities and safety compliance matters, including car park management.
Participate in safety-related projects, campaigns, and events to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Review and recommend improvements to safety policies, processes, and practices to strengthen compliance and reduce risks of non-conformance.
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager to support the organisation’s WSH obligations.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in workplace safety and health or a related discipline
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in Health & Safety
· Able to interact confidently with business units and external parties
