Job Responsibilities

1.      Research, design and develop new and/or improved industrial sensors that meet customer requirements 

2.      Provide design support for product modifications, cost reductions, function improvements, manufacturing process improvements and other technical support activities 

3.      Create and manage design proposals, design specifications, engineering drawings, and other required technical documents

4.      Perform FMEA, DFM, tolerance and other analysis prior to mass production 

5.      Create test plan and perform mechanical verification and support product verification and validation to fulfil product requirements 

6.      Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain the product lifecycle including customer complaints, tooling renewal, failure analysis, etc

7.      Liaising with Headquarter on the technical support and technology transfer

8.      Verify regulatory compliance (UL, CE, RoHS/REACH, etc.) with support from approval department

Requirements

1. Strong knowledge in design plastic moulding, metal injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication and other manufacturing technologies 

2. Good knowledge in mechanics, design theory, material science, inter-part bonding (plastic-to-plastic, metalto-plastic, etc.)
