Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the payroll system.
Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities and customer pain points.
Translate business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver the MVP and subsequent releases.
Establish product KPIs, monitor performance, and iterate based on user feedback.
Manage the product backlog and prioritize features to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (tax, payroll, and data security standards).
Drive go-to-market planning, pricing, and customer acquisition strategies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally in HRTech, fintech, or payroll/ERP systems.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, HR operations, and related compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to build and launch products from scratch (0 to 1).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
Preferred:
Experience in SaaS product development.
Technical background or understanding of software architecture.
Knowledge of multiple regional payroll requirements.
