About the Role

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of our machining and engineering services division. You will ensure operational efficiency, oversee workflow scheduling, and maintain strict adherence to customer requirements and delivery timelines. This role is crucial to bridging hands-on operations with management direction, ensuring precision, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

·       Supervise and coordinate daily operations across machining and engineering projects, ensuring quality and timely completion of customer orders.

·       Implement and enforce production schedules; monitor workflow to reduce bottlenecks and ensure efficient resource utilization.

·       Work closely with Engineers and QA to ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards before delivery.

·       Identify operational risks, troubleshoot issues, and escalate critical concerns to management when necessary.

·       Coach and train technicians/operators while fostering accountability and continuous improvement within the team.

·       Collaborate with the planning and procurement teams to ensure material and tool readiness.

·       Lead operational improvement initiatives focusing on cost efficiency, productivity, and safety compliance.

Requirements

·       Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline, or a minimum of 8 years of direct, relevant work experience in machining, precision engineering, or manufacturing environments in lieu of academic qualifications will be considered.

·       Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, and workflow optimization.

·       Familiarity with Lean/6-Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement frameworks.

·       Strong people-management and problem-solving skills, with hands-on leadership.

·       Prior experience in MNC manufacturing environments desirable, with ability to adapt structured practices into an SME setting.
