Job Scope :

A metal bending fabricator's job involves a variety of tasks related to the cutting, bending, and assembling of metal structures. 

Job Summary:

The Sheet Metal Bender operates press brakes and other forming machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to technical drawings and production specifications. The role ensures accuracy, quality, and efficiency in forming operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate press brake machines and other bending equipment to form sheet metal parts.

• Interpret fabrication drawings, work orders, and bend allowances.

• Set up tooling and adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness.

• Conduct quality checks using calipers, gauges, and templates to ensure conformity.

• Perform routine maintenance and report machine issues.

• Work closely with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Experience operating press brakes or sheet metal bending equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Understanding of bend allowances, tolerances, and material behavior.

• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.

• Basic math skills and physical ability to handle sheet metal materials.
