Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to join our finance team. This is a hands-on role covering day-to-day accounting operations for our Singapore entities, including financial reporting, compliance, payments, and audit support. The accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting business operations with timely insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Reporting
· Handle full sets of accounts including general ledger, AR/AP, and bank reconciliations.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements accurately and on time.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
· Assist in monitoring cash flow and preparing payment runs.
2. Compliance & Audit
· Prepare and file GST, corporate tax, and other statutory submissions.
· Assist in handling external and internal audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
· Maintain accurate records in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
3. Process & Support
Maintain proper documentation and support internal control procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting operations.
Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
Liaise with external parties including auditors, tax consultants, and banks.
4. Finance Business Partnering
· Act as the key finance partner for Singapore entities, supporting business units with financial insights.
· Review and challenge budgets, monitor expenses, and track performance against KPIs.
· Provide financial analysis and scenario planning to support management decisions.
· Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., HR, Operations, Admin) to align finance with business goals.
5. Compliance, Audit & Controls
· Handle all statutory, internal, and external finance audits from planning to completion.
· Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations, GST, and other statutory filings.
· Maintain robust internal controls and governance practices to safeguard financial integrity.
· Act as the primary liaison with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
6. Process Optimization & Improvements
Utilize financial systems such as NC Cloud for accounts payable, reporting, and data integration.
· Review and streamline accounting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
· Implement best practices in finance operations, controls, and reporting.
· Recommend system or process enhancements to improve productivity and compliance.
· Drive initiatives that strengthen finance as a strategic enabler of business growth.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
· Chartered Accountant (Singapore) with ISCA membership is required.
· Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to Singapore entities.
· Solid knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST, and tax compliance.
· Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., NC Cloud, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
· Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
· Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others in a fast-paced, dynamic global set-up environment.
Bilingual with proficiency in English and Chinese (as frequent communications with Chinese speaking stakeholders is expected).
Singaporeans preferred.
