Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Electrical / Electronic Engineer who wants to apply their technical expertise in a meaningful way. In this role, you will facilitate lab sessions, mentor students in applied projects, and contribute to industry-linked research and innovation initiatives. This is a practice-based position where your recent, hands-on engineering skills are central, with structured training provided to help you transition into an education and applied research environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver laboratory and practice-based modules

• Mentor students in projects and applied learning programmes

• Lead or co-lead applied research and innovation projects with industry partners

• Manage labs, equipment, and resources to support learning and research

• Uphold safety standards in labs and workshops

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related fields (Master’s / PhD advantageous)

• 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in areas such as:

  • High voltage switching, power systems & substations

  • Renewable energy design (wind/solar)

  • Power system protection & relay coordination

  • Digital / analogue / power electronics

  • IoT / micro-controller applications

• Strong interest in solving real-world engineering problems through applied projects

• No teaching background required – training will be provided

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g. HV Switching Engineer) will be an advantage
