Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible in collaborating across network and orchestration teams to ensure the smooth delivery of end-to-end network slicing and automation solutions. This roles requires good expertise in networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls and VPN configurations.
This role is based in Tampines.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure network performance on availability, stability is aligned with SLAs and KPIs.
Work with IT teams to ensure network scalability, compliance and performance.
Maintain and troubleshoot firewalls, VPN concentrators and security appliances.
Manage network security configurations, including VPN tunnels, firewalls, and IPS rules.
Collaborate with cybersecurity team to enforce security best practices.
Validate the Software Defined Network (SDN) infrastructure within the IT ecosystem.
Maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, security protocols and operational procedures.
Support network migration, infrastructure upgrades and cloud networking on GCP.
Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions.
Review compliance with information security policies and standards.
Ensure disaster recovery plan testing activities are performed and technical criteria are met.
Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and are familiar with common security threats like malware and phishing.
Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, preferably in roles involving Cisco technologies, IT infrastructure, or network administration.
Proven track record in deploying and managing wireless network solutions.
Practical expertise with Fortinet and/or Palo Alto firewall systems.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+.
Additional cybersecurity credentials like CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity are a plus.
Working knowledge of the ITIL framework and its application in IT service management.
Advanced troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, packet capture analysis, and command-line utilities.
Good analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex network incidents under pressure.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, VPN configurations, and network security best practices.
Experience with cloud networking, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and its implementation principles.
Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
