As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all contractual and commercial aspects of our LTA construction projects—from tender through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure all contractual obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the full spectrum of contract administration for LTA infrastructure projects from pre- to post-contract stages.
Interpret and implement LTA contract conditions, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and statutory requirements.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements to safeguard the company’s commercial interests.
Evaluate and process variations, claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests in accordance with contract provisions and LTA guidelines.
Liaise with project managers, consultants, and LTA representatives to resolve contractual issues and facilitate project progress.
Lead the preparation and submission of monthly progress claims, cost reports, and final accounts.
Oversee procurement and tender processes, including preparation of tender documents and contract award recommendations.
Provide strategic advice on contract risk mitigation, dispute resolution, and claims strategy.
Coordinate with the legal team on contractual disputes, mediations, and arbitration proceedings when necessary.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all contractual correspondences and change orders.
Monitor project budgets and expenditure to ensure cost efficiency and control.
Train and mentor junior contract executives or quantity surveyors on contract and commercial best practices.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in contract management within the construction industry, with at least 5 years handling LTA projects.
Strong knowledge of LTA standard conditions of contract and procurement processes.
Proficient in contract law, claims management, and cost control.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven.
