Commissioning Engineer - #1114644

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning sequence and plans according to project requirements.

• Liaise with vendors and contractors to prepare testing scripts for data center equipment and submit to relevant authorities.

• Produce testing and commissioning schedules, analyzing critical paths to meet milestones.

• Coordinate with construction teams to align commissioning requirements with project timelines.

• Support vendors with equipment setup and on-site requirements for testing activities.

• Monitor and track commissioning activities to ensure they follow schedule.

• Maintain and update commissioning status reports on a weekly basis.

• Chair weekly commissioning meetings with vendors, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

• Issue weekly commissioning reports and tracker updates.

• Log, track, and resolve commissioning issues with vendors and contractors.

• Lead FAT and SAT activities with vendors, contractors, and consultants.

• Consolidate, validate, and document daily testing reports.

• Arrange logistics for commissioning activities (e.g., heaters, data loggers, PQA, test PCs, temporary CAC/HAC for heat load and IST).

• Support commissioning agents during HLT and IST by coordinating all vendors, contractors, and suppliers.

• Close out T&C issues and prepare documentation for handover as part of OMM.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in data center testing and commissioning or similar role.

• Knowledge of data center systems (server, storage, network, power, cooling, fire protection, security).

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Willingness to travel for overseas assignments within the SEA region.

Additional Information

• Salary: $3,500 – $5,000 (Basic) + AWS + Variable Bonus

• Working Hours: Mon–Fri (8.30am–5.30pm / 9am–6pm); Sat (8.30am–12.30pm); alternate Sat during non-peak periods

• Location: Islandwide (worksite travel required)
