Quality Engineer

My client is a world-renowned Western MNC that specializes in manufacturing cable management solutions.

The organization is currently expanding, and we are on the lookout for a brand-new Quality Engineer to be in-charge of the development of the organization’s testing and measurement plans to meet the customer requirements and passing the quality standards.  

Job Scope

• Develop a measurement plan for cable management solution products that align with the specs as per given from customers and meeting the drawing requirements

• Select the appropriate measuring instruments that will be required for the given specifications, such as three-coordinate measuring instruments, articulated arms, projectors, callipers, micrometres, and height gauges.

• Benchmark the measurement plan or measurement results with moulding manufacturers and customers. Prepare three-dimensional coordinate measurement programming according to drawing requirements and guide technicians/inspectors to correctly perform measurement procedures.

• Submit measurement reports to internal and external customers in a timely manner and explain measurement results to customers.

• Responsible for writing operating instructions for measuring instruments and auxiliary measuring tools.

• Provide training and guidance to newly hired measurement technicians/inspectors.

• Participate in the development process of gauges and tooling and provide effective suggestions on the design and daily maintenance of gauges and measurement auxiliary tooling.

• Regularly organize inspection, daily maintenance and servicing of measuring instruments.

• Participate in the acceptance and annual review of measuring and testing tools.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of quality management experience

• Experience in automotive fasteners will be an advantage

• Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• Proficient in GD&T knowledge

• Capable of using 3D software such as Pro-E, Solidworks, and NX.

• Familiarity in MSA and master measurement management technology
