This role includes sourcing and procuring construction materials and equipment, managing purchase orders and inventory, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and collaborating closely with project teams. The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, experience in construction procurement and logistics, and the ability to manage costs and timelines efficiently, ensuring successful project delivery. Experience in shipping, freight forwarding, and import/export documentation is an advantage.

Procurement & Sourcing:
Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers of construction materials, equipment, and services based on factors like price, quality, reliability, and technical support.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain a reliable supplier database.
Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets.
Purchase Order & Inventory Management:
Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Track orders, manage inventory levels, and anticipate project needs.
Resolve discrepancies with suppliers regarding deliveries, quality, or invoices.
Cost Control & Documentation:
Maintain accurate procurement and shipping records, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
Support project teams in budget control and cost monitoring.
Prepare procurement summaries, cost comparisons and analysis, logistics reports and other ad-hoc purchasing related reports required by management.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure materials and equipment meet project specifications and safety standards.
Support customs compliance and import/export regulations for shipping.
Assist in inspections of received goods and coordinate with QA/QC teams.
Collaboration & Support:
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand procurement and logistics needs.
Support cross-functional teams in vendor selection and project planning.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or any other related field.
3–5 years of procurement and logistics experience in construction or engineering projects preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and market pricing.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience on Shipping, freight forwarding and import & export documentation will be added advantage.
Preferred Attributes:
Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Understanding of construction project scheduling and cost control.
Analytical mindset to evaluate supplier proposals and alternatives.
