Job Description

You will be responsible for the design and development of optical systems for vision and laser applications in industrial machinery. This role requires a broad understanding of multiple disciplines, with opportunities to learn rapidly from our strong base of proven expertise and experience. Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical systems to meet performance requirements.

• Collaborate with R&D teams, laser specialists, project managers, and customers to deliver effective solutions.

• Support programs involving design development, integration, improvement, and test verification for prototype and pre-production designs.

• Document processes thoroughly, from specifications and design to analysis, improvement reports, and work instructions for production.

• Execute assignments as directed by supervisors and project leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field (Optical Systems, Optics Design, Photonics, etc.).

• Skills in mechanical CAD and optical simulation/design software (preferably Zemax).

• Proficiency in C++, CSharp or Python and Microsoft Word & Excel.

• Strong working knowledge of lasers, vision systems, and laser applications.

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Chinese (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vision and laser optics design.

• Familiarity with laser equipment and safe operating procedures.

• Knowledge of optical materials, including plating, coating, and tooling methods.

• Ability to lead optical design tasks and provide complete documentation for assembly in production.
