Accounts Assistant - #1112631

About the role

We are seeking a diligent and organised Accounts Assistant to join the finance team . This full-time role will be based in our offices near the Tai Seng area. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our accounting and financial operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

2. Follow up with suppliers and internal departments on queries and discrepancies

3. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions

4. Process invoices, petty cash claim and other accounting documents in a timely manner

5. Prepare entries for AP closing and assist with month-end closing

6. Assist in quarterly GST returns

7. Reconciliation of AP sub-ledger accounts and monthly vendor statement

8. Provide support with the preparation of monthly management accounts and periodic financial reports

9. Assist with the administration of payroll and other related tasks

10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards

11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support as needed

What we're looking for

1. A relevant accounting or finance qualification, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2. Prefer candidates with at least 1 year of experience in an accounts assistant or similar role, preferably within the construction industry, Fresh applicants are welcome to apply; training will be provided.

3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with numbers

4. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

5. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
