Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our Avian & Exotics Department. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and specialists, caring for some of the most unique and fascinating patients in Singapore.

Nursing duties such as but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and nursing care of exotic animal patients, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals.

• Assisting exotics veterinarians in the management, diagnostics, and treatment of outpatient and inpatient cases.

• Leading nursing support for procedures, surgeries, and advanced imaging alongside the veterinary team.

• Performing anaesthesia and recovery care under veterinary supervision, including monitoring with multiparameter equipment.

• Mentoring and supervising junior nurses while supporting the ongoing training and development of the nursing team.

• Participating in daily in-patient rounds and maintaining high standards of care and cleanliness in the exotics ward.

• Performing diagnostics including blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiography, and sample preparation.

• Preparing patients for surgery, assisting with postoperative care, recovery, and discharge instructions.

• Ensuring accurate updates of patient medical records and participating in client communication.

• Promoting a collaborative and respectful team culture to maintain a positive working environment.

• Actively pursuing continuing education and development in exotic animal nursing.

Experience:

Typically less than 1–2 years of experience for Junior Nurse. Practical experience through internships is valuable.

Veterinary Nurses should have 3–5 years of experience.
