Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer / Assistant Engineer to lead a team of technicians and subcontractors in the servicing, maintenance & repair of company's premises, including buildings & facilities. The scope of work will cover building components, electrical components & equipment, as well as air-conditioning & mechanical ventilation (ACMV) components and equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing processes, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining excellent building standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide technical guidance and support to technicians in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

  • Develop and plan work schedules, resource allocation, and manpower for assigned tasks. Beyond planned tasks, to ensure prompt response to emergency repair requests.

  • Allocate work to technicians and ensure all jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards & SOPs.

  • Ensure that in-house teams and outsourced contractors adhere to safety standards and conduct their work with proper risk assessments and safety measures.

  • Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment. Coordinate with Purchasing department and suppliers to ensure the availability of required materials for maintenance and repairs.

  • Provide updates to senior management on departmental performance and challenges, and regularly provide status reports to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.

  • Experience in managing both in-house teams and external stakeholders including contractors and suppliers.

Working Hours: (5-day work week)

Sunday to Wednesday: 0830 to 1830 hours

Thursday: 0830 to 1730 hours
