We are looking for a motivated mechanical automation designer working in multi-discipline team. This position provides an opportunity to engage in Mechanical Design using Solidworks and develop new concepts of subassemblies as well as full machine designs so as to remain competitive on market trends and advances.

Responsibilities

• Development of new projects, including the development of a conceptual design proposal to actual build according to specification.

• Propose improvements to the existing machine design.

• Work with Assembly team and troubleshooting support.

• Organize periodic meetings to update team members and project managers on the progress of the project.

• Coordinate activities between fabrications and procurements based on priorities ranking.

• To work closely with electrical team for electrical panel and machine wire routing design.

• Prepare documentation such as Bill of material, project schedule, user manual and training document.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Precision Engineering.

• Proficiency in Solidworks/Pro E or other 3D CAD software.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Automation projects.

• Knowledge in Mechanical components sizing and material selection.

• Experience in Automated equipment and automation design.

• Good knowledge of detailed mechanical drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

• Knowledge of machine building techniques.

• Technical calculations for motor, belt tension, stress analysis and other components will be an advantage.
