As an Assistant Manager - Emergency Preparedness (Healthcare), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure readiness across operations, security, and emergency protocols, with ongoing refinement to drive effectiveness and resilience.

  • Serve as the key liaison with the Ministry of Health and other agencies—such as SCDF, SPF, and NEA—through regular coordination meetings to stay informed about national and healthcare emergencies.

  • Monitor and assess emerging threats or changes in government policies that could affect institutional preparedness, remaining proactive in adjustments.

  • Maintain operational readiness for a variety of emergency scenarios, from public health crises to fires and power outages, by continuously reviewing and strengthening emergency planning.

  • Execute both tabletop simulations and full-scale drills to rigorously test and validate emergency response capabilities.

  • Regularly audit essential resources—including staff, medical supplies, and equipment—to verify that the institution can function smoothly under high-stress or emergency conditions.

  • Establish and oversee a dedicated security committee tasked with identifying, evaluating, and addressing physical security issues throughout the facility.

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, ranging from access control systems to potential vulnerabilities, to safeguard staff and patients effectively.

  • Design and deliver regular training and briefings on emergency and security protocols, ensuring that all staff are well-prepared and clear on their roles during a crisis.

  • Participate in key national and MOH-led initiatives, such as deploying or engaging with Disaster and Special Medical Committees (DSMC), to bolster coordination during healthcare emergencies.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance the security framework, identifying gaps in both physical and cybersecurity measures and advocating for necessary improvements.

Requirements: 

  • Degree holder with relevant experience in healthcare industry preferred
