About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospital Operations Manager to oversee critical operational functions within a fast-paced hospital environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth service delivery across linen and laundry, food services, bed management, claims, projects, and compliance.
As a strategic leader, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage vendors, and drive initiatives that enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance (including PDPA).
Key Responsibilities
Linen & Laundry Services – Oversee timely processing and distribution, track usage, and optimise costs.
Food Services – Partner with the food team to design menus, uphold food safety, and enhance patient satisfaction.
Bed Management – Streamline patient flow, reduce wait times, and optimise bed turnover.
Claims Management – Supervise claims submission, resolve issues, and analyse data for improvements.
Hospital Inspections – Conduct audits, ensure compliance, and prepare for accreditations.
Project Management – Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
PDPA & Compliance – Safeguard patient information, enforce data protection practices.
Management Meetings – Provide secretariat support, drive operational discussions, and follow up on initiatives.
Vendor & Partner Management – Oversee procurement, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
Staff Leadership – Recruit, coach, and develop staff; conduct performance evaluations.
Budget & Financial Management – Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
Collaboration & Communication – Foster teamwork across clinical and administrative units, address feedback, and elevate patient care.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare operations management (e.g. linen, food services, or patient management).
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in project management and financial analysis.
Knowledge of PDPA and healthcare regulatory standards.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
