You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.  This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, supervise, and manage daily workshop operations to ensure efficiency, adherence to schedules, and maximum productivity.

  • Monitor job progress and coordinate with technicians and vendors to prevent delays and meet deadlines.

  • Optimize manpower allocation and task scheduling for effective resource utilization.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of workshop activities including job cards/sheets, inventories, and work orders.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold workplace organization.

  • Perform audits to assess performance, identify improvement areas, and streamline workflows using management software and available technology.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues independently and in collaboration with relevant teams.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering quality service, managing expectations, and handling complaints professionally.

  • Report workshop performance metrics such as job completion rates, technician productivity, and turnaround times to management.

  • Manage parts procurement and maintain optimal inventory levels to support ongoing operations.

  • Oversee logistics to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.

  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Orders (DOs), including inspection and verification of incoming parts.

  • Collaborate with vendors to streamline procurement processes and secure the best terms.

  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned to support the smooth running of the workshop and related operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience in managing workshop operations and inventory

  • Good planning and organization skills

  • Process-driven, highly motivated and results-oriented

  • Possess a valid Class 3 driver’s license
