As a member of the Global Markets Day Dealing team, you will report to the Dealing Manager and be responsible for trade execution for our clients and other related activities. Your role requires you to be well-informed and up-to-date on the latest developments, news, and company announcements across the Hong Kong and Asia markets.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Hong Kong and broader Asia markets, including market structures and trading practices. You will be working during the Hong Kong and Asia market trading sessions, offering you significant exposure to some of the most dynamic stock exchanges in the world.
Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to digital content creation, including writing research reports and conducting webinars. Monitoring and managing client orders throughout the trading day and ensuring timely and accurate execution will be part of your key responsibilities. Active involvement in projects, as well as process and platform/system enhancements, will be part of your responsibilities as well.
The role also involves closely monitoring market movements, identifying trading opportunities, and managing the risks associated with equity positions. You will be expected to provide real-time market insights to clients and the broader team. Attention to detail in trade executions is paramount, and you should be comfortable delivering presentations. Candidates with strong writing skills will be highly regarded.
As you will be working within a close-knit dealing team, strong teamwork skills are essential, and the ability to work independently is also crucial.
Requirements:
Degree in any relevant discipline
Preferably with pass in the CMFAS module(s) 1A, 5, 6 and 6A
Basic knowledge in stocks analysis will be an advantage (Fundamental, Technical etc.)
Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable with reaching out to clients through various means (calls, social media, webinars or seminar presentation etc.)
Able and willing to work on public holidays (rotational)
Entry level candidates with keen interest in the financial markets are welcomed to apply as training will be provided
Applicants who are pursuing or have passed their CFA studies will be in good standing.
Proficiency in Mandarin required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
