Key Responsibilities:

1. Tool Fabrication & Assembly

   1. Manufacture and assemble complex 3D stamping tools using precision machining and hand-fitting techniques.

   2. Ensure dies meet design and functional requirements (e.g., part form accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances).

2. Tool Maintenance

   1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on 3D stamping dies.

   2. Troubleshoot and repair worn or damaged tools to restore optimal function.

3. Tool Design Collaboration

   1. Work closely with the Tool & Die Design and Production Engineering teams during the tool development process.

   2. Provide feedback to improve tool design for manufacturability and maintainability.

4. Trial & Tuning

   1. Conduct tool try-outs and tuning to achieve first-pass yield and part quality.

   2. Optimize press parameters for new and existing tools.

5. Quality & Documentation

   1. Verify tools against technical drawings, 3D models, and part inspection results.

   2. Maintain detailed tool history and maintenance records.

6. Support Continuous Improvement

6.1 Identify and propose improvements in tooling performance, process stability, and cycle time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Technical Certificate or Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Precision Engineering, or equivalent.

2. Experience in progressive stamping tools

3. 5+ years of experience in tool making with a focus on progressive, compound, and 3D stamping tools.

4. Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD drawings and 2D tool design prints.

5. Experience with tight tolerance parts and forming on challenging materials (e.g., stainless steel, copper alloys).
